Galvanic Energy receives environmental honor

Our team was recently honored by Keep Oklahoma Beautiful (KOB) for our environmental stewardship in developing domestic lithium resources. We received the organization’s Vanguard Award as part of a wonderful ceremony celebrating the work of businesses, individuals and organizations from across our state who are striving to protect the land, water and air here in the place we call home.

The Vanguard Award recognized us for embracing cutting-edge technologies and concepts in support of a sustainable planet. KOB is a statewide non-profit working to empower Oklahoma citizens to preserve and enhance the state’s natural beauty and ensure a healthy, sustainable environment.

It is a tremendous honor to receive this award, especially in light of what it represents and those who are past recipients. To be recognized for our focus on responsible environmental, social and governance (ESG) operations as we develop our Smackover Prospect only reinforces our commitment to being good stewards of the natural resources and good neighbors to those who live and work in the community.

We have focused our operations on finding lithium resources that can be accessed with a nominal surface footprint, protecting and conserving nearby ground and surface water and maintaining air quality among other things. By using innovative solutions and maintaining stringent ESG standards and creating a sustainable domestic resource, we can significantly shorten the lithium battery supply chain and thereby reduce CO2 emissions associated with electric vehicle production.

Our entire team is excited to receive this honor. To be recognized for our incorporation of environmental stewardship into how we explore and develop energy resources is appreciated and humbling.
